Water and waster water treatment is the largest membrane application, which totals nearly half of overall demand. Almost every process industry is concerned and has to pay for the cost of liquid waste disposal. So, recovery and reuse of process liquid and valuable resource are goals for all.
with excellent priorities of anti-acid and alkali, high thermal resistance, and high mechanic strength, ceramic membrane exhibits distinguished advantages when used in treating strict and harsh waste water compared with traditional filters and polymeric membranes:
Ceramic membranes have been widely used in waste water treatment such as:
√ POME waste water treatment
√ Emulsion waste water
√ Produced water treatment
√ Mine water&condensate water
√ Alkaline and acid processing stream liquid
√ Waste with pigment from printing&dyeing and edible oil of high COD/BOD
√ Landfill leachate water
√ Electroplate waste, laundry waste water
√ Grinding water micro-electronics
Principle:
Based on membrane pore size screening effect and integrated membrane separation technology, emulsion waste water is treated by rejecting emulsion particles with ceramic membrane to recover oil, which solves the complicated problem of demulsification, flotation and coagulation in traditional method, NF/Ro can be used to further treat filtrate of ceramic membrane to reuse treated water.
Process Advantages:
● High rejection of oil & SS
● Excellent chemical stability
● Thermal-resistance
● Valueable oil can be recycled
● Easy to be regenerated
● High flux
● Highly automatic running system makes process both simple and convenient, reduces running cost greatly
● Compact design makes small occupied space
